Our Story
Our story starts in 2017 with the death of our daughter Scarlett Rose. She was born with a rare brain disorder called Semi-Lobar Holoprosencephaly (HPE for short). It caused her brain to not separate. She passed on October 17, 2017 after 4 months of miracles. A grief social worker with Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, knew that I was an artist and showed me a video of acrylic pour painting and suggested it as a therapy technique. I was able to work through my grief using painting as therapy. Our company is called The Gilded Rose Studio in rememberance of her. Since then, our business has grown to include jewelry, resin crafts, large scale paintings, and much more.
